How important is Life Insurance?
I’m asked this question quite often. The answer is always the same; it depends….
If you are married and/or have children and want to make sure your spouse and children will sustain a good quality of life upon your death, then it is very important. Coverage for a mortgage, child care, college tuition, among other expenses, should be factored in to the amount and type of insurance selected. The last thing you want to do is leave your family unprotected.
Unmarried? Children grown? That’s a different situation. It really does depend on what you want to leave behind. Many of my clients with grandchildren want to leave a monetary amount for each of the grand-kids for college or a start in life. Some want to leave something to a favorite charity or church.
For many, simply making sure there is an easily accessible policy with enough to cover final expenses will be a blessing to those left to care for you and your personal belongings
Please remember, life insurance isn’t for you, it’s for the loved ones you leave behind to carry on without you.
Whole life? 10, 15,or 20 year term? Prepaid burial?
The purchase of life insurance is personal and customized to fit the clients’ needs and wishes, which is why we represent many insurance companies.
